Jose and I have been friends for 30+ years. We started building custom homes in the Lake Hodges area in the mid 70's. I have been a professional carpenter and home builder since the 60's. Jose is the most reliable and conscientious man I've ever met. We recently hired his company to landscape our multi-million dollar home in Rancho Santa Fe. He did all of the retaining walls, stone work, marble work, planting, built a beautiful BBQ, and wet bar by the pool. I'm taking this opportunity to express my thanks to Jose Castro of Exterior Designs and to provide this letter of recommendation. Jose and his crew did a major re-landscaping job at my home consisting of demolition of existing structures, new colored concrete with stone inlays, several new walls, stucco and natural stone, a fire pit, concrete pavers, new sprinkler system, exterior lighting, new sod and numerous trees, shrubs and other plantings. I am writing this letter to express my gratitude to Jose Castro along with his entire honest and trustworthy staff. I did a major remodel of my home and the entire yard, pool area, and perimeter walls. Jose was on top of things daily, even beyond the many tasks of his responsibility. We seldomly write recommendations for contractors, but we’re super pleased to recommend Exterior Designs landscape. Jose transformed our yard over the past several months in a major re-landscaping job and we couldn't be happier. Thanks for transforming our half-acre of dirt into a beautiful yard! No landscape work had been done to our 4 year old home except for a wall built around the property.
