I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks to Jose Castro of Exterior Designs and to provide this letter of recommendation.

Jose and his crew did a major re-landscaping job at my home consisting of demolition of existing structures, new colored concrete with stone inlays, several new walls, stucco and natural stone, a fire pit, concrete pavers, new sprinkler system, exterior lighting, new sod and numerous trees, shrubs and other plantings.

Jose provided a reasonably accurate quote for his services and saw to it that his crew was always on the job site and working so that there were no gaps in activity. In addition Jose consulted with me constantly to make sure we were both clear and in agreement with what the plans called out or, where there was ambiguity or uncertainty in the plans, that we both agreed on what was to be implemented. As with any project this size, there were instances where things did not go exactly to plan. In these cases, Jose was generally the first to bring these to my attention and suggest corrective action. In addition, Jose made suggestions along the way to improve upon the plans, almost all of which were accepted. Also included in the renovations was the addition of a pool and hot tub. Jose did not do these, but in hindsight, I wished I'd asked him to oversee the effort as I think this would have allowed the project to go much smoother. As it was, Jose did a lot of direct coordination with the pool company to make sure there were no conflicts or delays.

Most importantly, Jose was very professional. I always felt he was being up front and honest with me. What impressed me the most, was that Jose called me on an almost daily basis throughout the project (and several times since!) to let me know what was going on and to see if there were any questions or concerns that I had. If there were, he was right on it.

Jose has my contact information and has my permission to provide this information to perspective clients at his discretion. Furthermore, he is welcome to use photos in his portfolio or on his website.
